Team Canada head coach Brent Sutter announced late on Sunday that forward Felix Girard is the final cut for the World Junior Squad. Canada is now down to its 22-player limit, although but players wont be registered until Christmas Day. Changes could still be made as a result of a suspension or injury. Girard has four goals and 16 assists in 28 games for Baie-Comeau of the QMJHL this season. The 19-year-old reacted to the news as best as he could. Sutter took 25 players overseas for the pre-tournament games with plans to cut three of them before Thursdays tournament opener.
