Labor Day turned out to be pretty laborious for The Eliminator.Following four days of incredible upsets, thrilling finishes, memorable debuts and more than a handful of epic comebacks, I need a week to catch my breath and get some rest. On paper, Week 2 doesnt figure to be as unpredictable. But isnt that what we always say about the weekends that end up being the craziest?The opening weekend wasnt nearly as enjoyable for a handful of teams from the Power 5 conferences. Washington State, Iowa State and Virginia all fell to FCS foes.?It also wasnt a strong opening weekend for the SEC - considered by many to be the sports best conference. SEC teams lost to opponents from Conference USA and the Sun Belt, and SEC East favorite Tennessee needed overtime to beat Appalachian State.
