Jacksonville Jaguars fan Hamish Shilliday took the spotlight to make two of the teams sixth round picks in the NFL Draft. Shilliday had Londons Tower Bridge as his back drop as he announced University of Montana defensive end Tyrone Holmes as the teams opening sixth round selection. The 29-year-old, from Birmingham, had been due to announce Jacksonvilles fifth round pick, but the franchise traded it on Friday to move up in the second round and select linebacker Myles Jack. It was absolutely brilliant to play my part in the Draft, he said. I will obviously be keeping a close eye on Holmes career and when he goes on to become a superstar Ill be able to say it was me who introduced him to the NFL - that would be incredible.I didnt really have any nerves to be honest. It was just really exciting to be involved and I had a fantastic time with the Jaguars team and cant thank them enough for the opportunity.Ive been a fan of the Jags for such a long time. I think the Draft picks by the team this year have been brilliant and I cant wait to see them come and play in London in October.Shilliday was joined by defensive tackle Michael Bennett to make the pick, or picks as it turned out, with Bennett having been selected from London in last years Draft when it was the first time a pick announcement had been made outside the United States.Bennett was on hand to join in with the naming of Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen with the 26th pick in the sixth round. He said: It is a lot less stressful being on the other side this year around. Waiting for that phone to ring was one of the most nerve racking experiences of my life but the feeling when I was selected was the best.It is great to be here in London, where it all began for me, and its fantastic to be able to include our fans in the UK in occasions like this. They are just an awesome part of the Jaguars so I hope by including them in things like this they will keep doing what theyre doing. Greg Inglis has declared himself South Sydneys starting fullback for the 2017 NRL season and insists his body is more than able to stand up to the rigours of the role.Inglis started and finished last year in the No.1 shirt but a mid-season decision by Michael Maguire to switch him to five-eighth then centre led to speculation it was a move designed to prolong his career due to his struggles with a persistent knee problem.Moving the Queensland superstar didnt have the desired effect on the field as the Rabbitohs slumped to five successive losses and missed out on the finals for the first time since 2011.A return to his favoured position sparked Souths to wins in their last four matches and Inglis said playing at fullback was a factor in his decision to re-sign with the club. The body is fine and I had a good chat with Madge (Maguire) at the end of the season, Inglis told AAP.Ill be heading back to fullback and staying there for good ... its where I want to play.Im on contract now until 2020 and after that who knows? The club have been very kind to us as a family so I was happy to show them some loyalty.Inglis has been rested for the Four Nations opener against Scotland to preserve him for next weeks encounter with New Zealand where hell line up in the centres with Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga ruling out any prospect of him playing fullback. Its set in stone, Darius (Boyd) is our fullback, Ive not even thought about moving Greg back there, said Meninga, who did select Inglis at fullback in his final match as Queensland coach in 2015.ddddddddddddnglis has no problem with the decision and said the transition from playing fullback to centre is one hes become accustomed to.Darius is too important to us to play in another position and has done a tremendous job at the back, he said. The way he has being playing for his club, he deserves that. Its not hard to switch, its just about preparation. At fullback theres a lot more running so you have to watch what you eat because you want to be a bit lighter so you can move about. In the centres you need to be carrying a bit extra to take the impact a bit harder.Inglis has a stellar record in England where he has never tasted defeat, and scored seven tries in 11 appearances in addition to success in the 2015 World Club Challenge against St Helens where he also crossed the whitewash.I do like playing here, its hard being so far away from home, especially as weve just had a little girl born three weeks ago, he said. But these are the tours you want to be a part of. I had a good chat with Mal who gave me the option of staying at home but I told him I was good to go. ' ' '
