Daytona International Speedway experienced no flooding on Friday after Hurricane Matthew battered the Florida coast but reported moderate damage to the facility from the Category 2 hurricane.The track completed a $400 million grandstand project in February.The facility had damage to lights, speakers, signage, fences, gates, awnings and palm trees, according to a statement issued by the track on Friday evening.It will remain closed to tours on Saturday and Sunday for cleanup, but it will serve as a staging area for Florida Power & Light crews.The Daytona track does not play host to any major racing events until January. ?The storm did no damage to Homestead-Miami Speedway, cite of NASCARs season finale in six weeks.?NASCAR teams are competing this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which is under a flash flood watch and wind advisory until Sunday morning from bands of Hurricane Matthew.
